She earned her Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree from Govt. Medical College, Miraj, Maharashtra in 1998.
Dr. Saggu is a member of various prestigious medical associations, including the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI), Delhi Breast Oncology Group (DBOG), Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI), and Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO).
She is also an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
She has been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to healthcare and breast cancer awareness, including the “Excellence in Healthcare (Women Cancer)” award by International Broadcast Media in December 2020.
Dr. Saggu actively participates in increasing awareness about women’s cancers through camps and talks.
She is the Founder and Chairperson of the charitable organization “GNCCT,” which focuses on spreading awareness about breast cancer.
She received the “Rising India Women Achiever’s Award” on International Women’s Day in 2020.
She formed a Breast Cancer Support Group called “Moving On” for women diagnosed with breast cancer and caregivers.
She authored a book titled “Moving On,” published in three languages, focusing on breast cancer awareness and survivor stories.
Dr. Saggu’s speciality interests include managing both benign and malignant breast diseases, conventional and oncoplastic breast conservation surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, chemoport insertions, early diagnosis and screening of breast cancer, and family history and risk assessment.
