Dr. Anusheel Munshi

Dr. Anusheel Munshi is an accomplished radiation oncologist who currently serves as the HOD and consultant in the Radiation Oncology Sciences department at a reputed hospital in India.
He completed his MBBS from Jammu University in 1995 and went on to pursue post-graduation in Radiotherapy from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, in 2000.
He holds an MD degree in Radiation Oncology, DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Radiation Oncology, and MNAMS (Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences) in Radiation Oncology. Additionally, he has undergone advanced training in proton therapy from the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, USA.
Dr. Munshi has a wealth of experience and expertise in treating various types of cancers using radiation therapy.
He has made significant contributions to the field of radiation oncology and has been recognized for his academic and research achievements.
He was awarded the Dr. Satya Pal Agarwal Gold Medal for topping in DNB (Radiation Oncology) examination and a Silver Medal (First Order) in MD (Radiation Oncology) examination.
He also received the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) International Development and Education Award (IDEA) in 2016, which is awarded to young oncologists who have demonstrated leadership in their profession and shown a commitment to improving cancer care in their communities. In 2013, he was the recipient of the prestigious Young Scientist Award at the annual meeting of the Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology.
Dr. Munshi’s research work has been published in several national and international journals, and he has presented his work at numerous conferences worldwide. He has been invited as a speaker at several national and international conferences on radiation oncology.
Dr. Munshi’s clinical expertise lies in treating different types of cancers such as head and neck cancer, brain tumors, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, prostate cancer, and gynecological cancers, among others.
He has extensive experience in delivering radiation therapy using advanced techniques such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and proton therapy.
