With over 14 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases, Dr. Skouri specializes in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, cardio-oncology, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac amyloidosis.
Pioneering Achievements in Cardiology
Dr. Skouri has played a pivotal role in advancing heart failure treatments in the MENA region. He was the first to introduce Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) in the Middle East and is the first cardiologist from the region to receive a fellowship from the Heart Failure Association (HFA). In addition to his clinical practice, he has led initiatives to raise public awareness about heart failure, including his work as the chair of the Lebanese Society of Cardiology’s (LSC) Heart Failure Working Group.

Dr. Skouri has also contributed significantly to cardiology research and education. As an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) for the past five years, he has published over 55 research papers, consensus documents, and position papers.
