Dr. Lalit Kumar is the Chairperson of Oncology & BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram.
He specializes in BMT and Oncology.
He holds an MBBS and MD in Medicine from Sarojini Naidu Medical College in Agra.
He pursued DM Medical Oncology at the Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai.
He completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School of the Hammersmith Hospital in London.
He was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship to the United States of America.
Dr. Lalit Kumar is an esteemed academician and renowned oncologist in the field of Stem Cell Transplant.
Prior to joining Artemis Hospitals, he served as a Professor and Head in the Department of Medical Oncology at AIIMS, New Delhi.
His expertise lies in Blood Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplantation, Haematological Malignancies, and Gynecological Malignancies.
He has conducted research on the Role of Neo-Adjuvant Chemotherapy in various cancers.
He has developed cost-effective treatment protocols for sustained bone marrow and stem cell transplantations.
Dr. Lalit Kumar has received numerous honors and awards, including the Padma Shri Award in 2014 and the Dr. B.C. Roy Award in 2008.
He has been recognized with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Award and the Ranbaxy Science Foundation Award.
He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (FASc), the National Academy of Medical Sciences of India (FAMS), and the National Academy of Sciences (FNASI).
Dr. Lalit Kumar is a member of the Indo British Health Initiative (IBHI) and the Institute of Women’s Health (IFWH) at the University College of London (UCL).
He also serves on the Expert Committee to examine the Serious Adverse Events (SAE) of deaths occurring during clinical trials.
