Dr. Meet Kumar has over 14 years of experience in the fields of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT). He has trained at prestigious institutions across India and has successfully performed more than 700 bone marrow transplants, including autologous, allogeneic, matched unrelated, and haplo-identical procedures.
Dr. Kumar completed his MBBS and MD from Jamnagar, Gujarat, and his DM in Clinical Hematology from NRS Medical College in Kolkata. He further specialized with a fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplantation at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata, and additional training in BMT and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CART) Cell Therapy at King’s College, London.
He has worked at renowned hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, SGPGI in Lucknow, BL Kapoor Hospital in Delhi, and Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon. Dr. Kumar is recognized for establishing the first Bone Marrow Transplant Centre within a State Government setup in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kumar has received numerous accolades, including the ‘Hisar Gaurav’ and ‘Global Award’ for emerging as a distinguished hematologist. He serves as an executive member of the Indian Society of Hematology & Blood Transfusion, the largest national body for hematology in India. Additionally, he holds memberships with other prominent hematology societies, such as the American Society of Hematology, the Bengal Society of Hematology, and the Delhi Society of Hematology.
With over 20 research publications in renowned national and international journals, Dr. Kumar continues to contribute significantly to the field of Hematology.
