His pioneer work on fracture neck of femur is well known internationally and is quoted in western textbooks. He is the only surgeon to be awarded the lifetime achievement award by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in addition to numerous prestigious oration awards given by various national and international organization. Dr. Nagi has more than 250 published articles to his credit in various international and national scientific journals.
