Dr. Rajendra Prasad is a distinguished Senior Consultant Neuro-Surgeon and Spine Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India. He has performed over 4000 brain and spine surgeries and was the first in Asia to carry out a Da Vinci robotic spine surgery. Registered with the Delhi Medical Council and the General Medical Council (UK). During his tenure at Indraprastha, he has conducted multiple clinics in Tanzania, Dubai and Mauritius. He has extensively travelled throughout India lecturing and conducting workshops on spine surgery. His special interests include: minimal invasive spine surgery, acute head and spine injuries and neuro-intensive care, microsurgery and stereotactic surgery for brain and spine tumours and neuro-habilitation for head and spine injuries.
Dr. Prasad is deeply involved in philanthropic work, serving as the Hon. Medical Director of the Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) and a Founder Trustee of KARA Medical Foundation. His contributions to neuro-rehabilitation and road safety have garnered prestigious awards, and he is a board member of the International Pediatric Brain Injury Society (IPBIS).
