Dr. Rajiv Sharma

Dr. Rajiv Sharma serves as the Head of Interventional Radiology at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram.
Dr. Sharma holds a diverse set of qualifications, including MBBS, MD, and DNB (Radio-diagnosis).
With over 23 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology, he has worked at esteemed institutions such as Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, and currently at Artemis Hospital in Gurugram.
Dr. Sharma completed his MD (Radiodiagnosis) from Shrimati N.H.L. Medical College, Ahmedabad, and DNB (Radiology) from the National Board of Examination.
At Artemis, he leads the sub-department of interventional radiology, overseeing various procedures, including vascular, hepato-biliary, and tumor embolization. He also conducts Ultrasound and CT Guided Biopsies, including prostate and breast biopsies. Additionally, he has experience in VABB Assisted, Ultrasound, and MRI Guided Biopsies.
Dr. Sharma serves as a DNB teaching faculty, supervising several DNB thesis programs, and runs a Fellowship program in interventional Radiology.
He has authored numerous academic papers published in national and international journals and actively participates in conferences and workshops.
Dr. Sharma is a member of prestigious medical associations, including the Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (IRIA), Indian Society for Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR), Indian Society of Neuroradiology (ISNR), and MNAMS (Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences).
He has received honors and rewards, including felicitation by the ISNR and the Best Paper Award in ISNR in 2001. He also participated in the Radiological Education Found – Workshop in 2002 and presented a paper in ICR Mexico in 2008.
He is an Indian national proficient in English and Hindi languages.
